American Idol is shown on the Fox network in the United States and managed by 19 Entertainment. Initially shopped colse to and rejected by many other networks, American Idol has found its permanent home and has come to be a huge hit for Fox, partly due to the presence of judge Simon Cowell. The acid-tongued Brit, Simon Cowell, was initially a judge on Britain's Pop Idol, and has since come to be an American household name due to his blunt and searing critiques of many of the American Idol contestants. Simon Cowell has since produced American creator and the newest television talent competition, America's Got Talent.

The success of American Idol is irrefutable, having won the top spot on Neilson Ratings for the last 4 years and earning a larger viewership than the Olympics, The Grammy Awards and the Nba Playoffs.

American Idol is hosted by the affable Ryan Seacrest who we first meet during the audition process. The talent competition holds auditions in any Us cities together with La, Memphis. Salt Lake City and Boston, where connect judges weed through thousand of Idol hopefuls in booths and tents in arena parking lots.

If a contestant has what it takes to entertain American television audiences, then he or she is passed through to Directors Nigel Lythgoe and Simon Fuller. If the contestants impress either or both of these two men, the contestant is then able to reach the top stage of judging -- meeting Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson. Once the contestant performs a song or two for Simon, Paula and Randy, the final judgment on either they will advance to Hollywood is given. Each contestant needs two out of three votes, and if the vote is in the contestant's favor, he or she gets the famed yellow mark and is sent to Hollywood for a week of exhausting performances and tough judging. At the end of Hollywood week, the top 24 have evolved and ordinarily characterize a diverse group of males and females of all races and musical genres.

Memphis Grizzlies - Revenge is a Dish Best Served Cold

The first half of the match in the middle of Memphis Grizzlies and Oklahoma City Thunder was in absolute inequity to what had to ensue in the second. The first half saw the Thunders raiding the Grizzlies so often that it often seemed as if only one team seemed to be playing the game. What are the Grizzlies doing? Are their point guards sleeping? Give them some Red Bull and wake them up from sleep - These nothing else but seemed to be the cat calls from the spectators.

Memphis Grizzlies - Revenge is a Dish Best Served Cold

Half time whistle blown. What is going to come next? Is it going to be an annihilation of the Grizzlies? By the half time the hooter had blown for the half time, the Grizzlies were trailing by 22 points. It nothing else but is going to be a 40 whitewash, as per the spectators of the Thunders. Well, looking by the way how the Grizzlies were taking their game in the first half, a 50 point whitewash without fail does not seem out of cards.

On come players on court, and as the Thunder's fans incredible a clean massacre, quite the opposite happened. In fact, the unthinkable if one may say! The Grizzlies turned around the plate with so much ease that the Thunders did not quite know what had hit them. 1,2,3 and so on - raids on the Thunders citadel kept on increasing with alarming regularity. nothing else but by now, the Thunders knew that they were driving a car up against a monster diesel-guzzler that would roll them up into thousand bits.

When the final hooter blew, the score line read 108-102 in favor of the Grizzlies. It obviously prompted a lot of citizen to say, "Revenge is sweet when it is served cold. At least, the enemies don't quite expect it coming. And you don't even burn your mouths". That's exactly what the Grizzlies did! Obviously, something happened during the half time and the Grizzlies would not wish to reveal what transpired behind the scenes. It is anybody's guess but seems like the players swore by each other to make the Thunders bite the dust.

And did they come out with some purpose or what? A team that resembling a gang of college guys practically ending up fighting each other before half-time came out and not only put up a spicy show, but also punctured any ambitions the Thunders had about beating them.

This astounding turnaround with the Grizzlies can only be attributed to their aggressive style of play. No ways they could have made such an impression after putting up a defensive show in the first half. That they had revenge on their minds when they took to the court after half time helped matters being placed rather forcefully!

Home Prices May Decline over the Next Year

Home Prices May Decline over the Next Year

As America's cheaper begins to cool, a number of economists have begun to predict only modest gains in the prices of single-family homes during the next year. The consensus is that home prices will rise between 3 and 4%, which is a respectable increase, but well below the 10% nationwide mean over the past five years.

Home Prices May Decline over the Next Year

Ironically, the biggest slowdowns are likely to take place in the areas of the country that have seen the hottest real estate markets over that five-year period, together with New York, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas. However, the real estate price slowdown is foreseen, to reach many other parts of the country over the procedure of the next year, as well.

In an entertaining twist, a number of real estate markets that have been slow over the past five years will begin to see upturns as the affordability of their home prices begins to catch the eye of buyers unwilling to pay the rapidly rising prices they see in other areas. In fact, a number of the areas that are foreseen, to see the most rapid price rises may surprise you. For instance, five of the top ten cities are settled in Washington State, led by Wenatchee, which is foreseen, to see a 16% gain over the next year. The nation's fast-rising real estate prices are foreseen, to occur in Panama City, Florida, at 21%. Surprisingly, El Centro is the only California city listed among the top ten markets, which should raise a number of eyebrows.

Those double-digit increases are again respectable, but nowhere near the 20% mean growth for America's top ten fastest rising home prices over the past five years.

The other four Washington cities and their rates of growth are: Mount Vernon (14%), Yakima (13%), Olympia (13%), and Spokane (12%). Two other Florida cities made the top ten list: Lakeland (14%) and Ocala (13%). Rounding out the top ten was Flagstaff, Arizona (12%).

Some areas of the country that have been quite hot over the past some years may positively begin to caress price declines, such as Santa Barbara, California, which may see a 3% decrease in its mean home price. Las Vegas may also caress a similar price decline over the next year.

The slowest gaining areas of the country over the past five years have been in the Midwest and South, and especially in Ohio and Indiana, which contributed five of the slowest American real estate markets during the duration from 2001-2005. For instance, Lafayette, Indiana, averaged just 2.3% annually over that time, which represented an growth of only 10% of the gains experienced by the nation's hottest real estate markets. The largest city among the bottom ten markets was Memphis, Tennessee, according to the Census Bureau, with a population of about 700,000.

Whatever the statistics above stated, it should be pointed out that many flourishing investors make a lot of money in the those cities labeled "the bottom ten." No matter what happens in the home market, smart investors know how to make money in real estate.

All in all, real estate prices should rise somewhat, unless you happen to live in one of those areas that has been red hot since 2001, but don't expect to see the spectacular increases you've seen over the past five years.
